Keralup is a planned suburb situated approximately 58 kilometers south of Perth’s Central Business District, in the south-eastern corridor of the Perth metropolitan area, Western Australia. Nestled along the eastern side of the Mandurah Road, Keralup lies between the established communities of Baldivis and Stake Hill. Notably, it extends across both the City of Rockingham and the City of Mandurah local government areas, encompassing predominantly undeveloped bushland and rural landscapes bordering the Serpentine River.

As of 2024, Keralup remains largely unpopulated, existing in the early stages of subdivision and urban planning. The area has not yet seen formal residential or commercial development, and there is currently no significant population or structured housing within its boundaries. The suburb was earmarked as a major residential growth zone with the long-term aim of accommodating up to 90,000 residents, making it one of the largest future master-planned communities in the Perth region. However, work on its development has been slow due to environmental concerns, planning requirements, and changing market demand.

There are no active commercial or retail properties within Keralup at present, with the closest amenities located in neighboring suburbs such as Karnup, Baldivis, and Mandurah. Plans for Keralup include a mix of low-to-medium density residential properties along with provisions for local shopping precincts, schools, parks, and community centers. Significant portions of green space are likely to be preserved to protect the ecological value of the area, especially along the riverine landscapes. Overall, Keralup’s future development is poised to transform it into a key suburb in Perth’s southern growth corridor, though its population and commercial footprint are yet to be established.
